Rupertus was born about 1720 in Bohemia. He would marry Helena in Bohemia. Seemed Rupertus was in search of better opportunities as he and his family left Bohemia and emigrated to the village of Batschsentiwan, Hungary during the summer of 1766. During this trip they passed through Vienna, Austria, where they were registered. It is here that Rupertus announces his profession as a sculptor.13 Their youngest child, Anna, died in Vienna at only 6 months old14.
Helena Eleonora was also born in Bohemia, but about 10 years after Rupertus in 1730. It seems that Rupertus and Helena would have some very tough times in their new home, as only 3 of their next 4 children would live past the age of 314.
